Five rides to be removed this winter

According an announcement made at a roller coaster event at SFNE yesterday, the park plans to remove five rides for next year. The rides listed were:
- Catapult (S&S Sky Swatter)
- Kontiki (Chance Alpine Bobs)
- Kiddie Bumper Buggies
- Rodeo (HUSS Breakdance)
- Double Trouble (Chance Double Inverter)
It was stated that Kontiki may just be moved, not removed.

Wow, at this rate I may not be attending the park at all next year. I didn't get a season pass this year and have not attended. Kontiki is one of my favorite flat rides at the park. I've been with many "non rides" people and all of them love kontiki. Stupid move if this gets removed, and hopefully just gets moved instead.

I was at the ace event where the GM said that, when he said catapult i was very surpised. With all the time and effort they put into keepin it running and how popular it is this move is one i do not understand nor agree with. I hope my suspition is corect, if so get your last rides on cyclone now, it was said ace would like 2009, witch i belive means coaster and with the lack of realistate for rides i would almost expect them to move the building behind cyclone rodio to be the station area and cyclone to be replaced by a gci twister coaster. a move i would not be mad about at all. |
